Stud Terms and Conditions
Mare owners that use stallions of the Sporthorse Studbook India, are required to accept the following terms and conditions, for all present and future business.
When ordering semen please include the following:
- Name of the stallion
- Name and complete address of the mare owner
- Exact shipping address, if different from the owner ‘s address
- Data of the mare (name, registration number/UELN, copy of lineage, age)
(the semen delivered can only be used for the declared mare) - Your membership number of the Sporthorse Studbook India, to which the insemination shall be reported.
The breeder ‘s certificate should be handed in to us at the beginning of the breeding season.
The stud fee should be paid as follows: The deposit must be paid upon first insemination; the gestation charge is payable once pregnancy is confirmed. Non-gestation statements can only be made by veterinarians. In case a breeder fails to report his mare not in foal, the gestation charge will be automatically due.
Please note that, the stud fee for embryo transfer is to be paid for each flushed out embryo. When several flushing are successful, a discount is given.
Only when payment is received, the breeders certificate will be issued and forwarded to the breeders association.
Shipping costs are payable by the breeder.
If a stallion becomes unavailable at short notice during the breeding season for any particular reason, (competition, sickness etc) you are offered frozen semen if possible, or an alternative stallion of your choice. In this case, you are required to pay the stud fee of the last stallion used. Stud fees are non—reimbursable.
